With the support of HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency Zrt., Kevin Farkas will compete in the 2025 FIM JuniorGP Moto3 World Championship as part of the SeventyTwo Artbox Racing team. The team is led by Emilio Alzamora, the 1999 125cc MotoGP World Champion, who recognized Kevin Farkas’ talent during Red Bull Rookies Cup races and offered him the opportunity to join the team. Additionally, Kevin Farkas is expected to compete in the Moto3 race of the Hungarian MotoGP round on the weekend of August 22-24, 2025, with a wildcard entry granted to the host nation.
Since 2022, Kevin Farkas has been a member of the Hungarian Motorsport Academy, a talent development program established by HUMDA. For three years, he competed in the Northern Talent Cup (NTC), a series within Dorna Sports’ Road to MotoGP program that provides a professional platform for young talents from Central and Northern Europe. During this time, he achieved multiple race victories and podium finishes, securing second place in the championship. These results earned him a spot in the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2023, which runs as a support series to MotoGP. Following his rookie season, he returned to the series in 2024 and, with HUMDA’s dedicated support, also participated in the FIM JuniorGP Moto3 category.
The FIM JuniorGP Championship, also organized by Dorna Sports and available via online streaming platforms, is the final step in the Road to MotoGP program. Several Moto3 and Moto2 teams competing in MotoGP support affiliated teams within this championship.
“Kevin Farkas’ participation in the JuniorGP Moto3 category is a huge milestone for Hungarian motorsport, as a talented local rider gets the chance to prove himself among the world’s best. HUMDA’s mission is to support Hungary’s most promising riders on their path to international success, and Kevin’s entry in this championship is clear proof that hard work and support bring results. A home MotoGP race is not just another event but an opportunity for more Hungarian riders to take to the grid and showcase their talent on the global stage. Every Hungarian racer represents a step forward in the development of our motorsport scene and serves as inspiration for future generations – because success is our shared mission,” emphasized Balázs Weingartner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency Zrt.
Through this collaboration, Kevin Farkas will not only race under the banner of SeventyTwo Artbox Racing but will also benefit from the team’s professional background for winter preparations and in-season testing. Emilio Alzamora, who leads the team, has discovered and guided the careers of riders such as Spanish Yamaha MotoGP racer Alex Rins, 2020 MotoGP World Champion Joan Mir, and the Marquez brothers, 2014 Moto3 and 2019 Moto2 World Champion Alex, as well as eight-time MotoGP World Champion Marc. Alzamora even served as their personal manager for years.
“My key goal for the preparation and the season is to reach a level where I can represent Hungary with a wildcard entry in the Moto3 category at the Hungarian MotoGP Grand Prix in 2025. Knowing the home track would be a huge motivation to perform at my best during the August weekend, hopefully in front of a large Hungarian crowd. As a Hungarian rider, it would be an immense honor and responsibility to compete in front of my home audience at the returning MotoGP race weekend after more than three decades. This is not just a milestone in my career but a historic moment for Hungarian motorsport,” said Kevin Farkas.
