Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) took the Grand Prix honours on Sunday at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan, poised under pressure as he got back to the business of winning in MotoGP – despite tension in the pitbox as small puffs of smoke ramped up the drama.

In second place, Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) kept equally cool to take an incredible seventh MotoGP World Championship with second place, completing the greatest comeback in sporting history – 2184 days after he last ruled the most exciting sport on Earth.

In third, the headlines kept coming – Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol) got back on the podium for the first time since 2021, and gave Honda a home podium to celebrate on a day for the history books at Motegi.

But back to where it started. And so, after a weekend of anticipation, it was time to get the ball rolling on the MotoGP Grand Prix to see whether Marc Marquez would clinch his seventh MotoGP title. At lights out, Bagnaia got a lovely launch again to grab the holeshot ahead of a fast-starting Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), as Marc Marquez kept hold of P3 on the opening lap. Alex Marquez was P7, one place behind Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing).

Pecco’s lead at the start of Lap 2 was 0.7s over Acosta, as Mir picked his way back up to P4 after dropping to P6 on the opening lap from the front row. And on the next lap, a 1:44.412 saw Pecco lead by 1.2s, with Marc Marquez tucked right behind his compatriot in P3.

There was an early retirement for Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) who encountered an issue on his RC213V to end another positive weekend prematurely. That meant HRC’s sole podium hopes fell into the lap of Mir, and the 2020 World Champion was less than half a second away from Marc Marquez’s rear tyre.

At the end of Lap 6, Pecco’s lead crept beyond the two second mark, while it was as you were in the podium fight – but Mir gained some time on the #93 after the champion elect made a small error at Turn 5. Then, on Lap 9 of 24, another slight error came at Turn 10. It didn’t cost Marc Marquez too much time, but this wasn’t as smooth sailing as it could have been so far as he and Mir began to reel in Acosta.

By Lap 11, Acosta’s pace was beginning to suffer and at Turn 3, Marc Marquez drew alongside the KTM and made a move for P2 stick. And straight away, Marquez was able to begin lapping a very similar pace to his teammate Pecco, who was 3.7s up the road at the start of Lap 13. Marquez, meanwhile, had put some breathing space between him and Acosta, one second of it to be exact, as the #37 began to come under plenty of pressure from Mir, with Bezzecchi sniffing a podium chance in P4.

The pressure then told as Mir made a classy Turn 7 move up the inside of Acosta to jump into P3, as we then saw smoke coming out of his Ducati. What was the problem? Was it race ending? Not for now, and he wasn’t losing time either – but this was a concern for Bagnaia and Ducati, who was leading by 4.1s.

The gap went up again by a tenth on Lap 16, so for the time being, it wasn’t a full-on issue. In the meantime, Acosta’s podium hopes were fading quickly as Bezzecchi and then Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) got the better of him.

With seven laps to go, Marc Marquez was in a title-winning position. And as comfortable as one could be in his position P2, with Mir slowly chipping away at the gap between the former HRC teammates in P3. Mir, meanwhile, was 2.4s clear of Bezzecchi as the #36 and HRC began to dream of a phenomenal return to the podium.

Acosta’s top six hopes then ended with a Turn 1 runoff, as we saw more smoke coming out of Bagnaia’s Ducati. Pensive and worried faces were plastered across the factory Ducati box and pitboard, and across millions of faces around the world, but Pecco continued on his way for now. The gap was coming down; it was now 2.8s with four laps left, but Pecco wasn’t even looking down or noticing something might be going wrong. Stange.

With two laps to go, Pecco led Marc Marquez by two seconds. As things stood, Marc Marquez just needed to guide his Ducati home for the greatest comeback to be completed. Mir was comfortable and now, a very lonely P3.

Last lap time. And history beckoned. A long look over the shoulder came on the exit of Turn 2, and it was empty space. You’re under no threat from behind Marc, that seventh MotoGP title was a minute and a half away. Bagnaia crossed the line to take his first double of the season, very much back in business, as just behind, more history was made.

Four surgeries. Four years of mostly blood, sweat and tears. But finally, for the first time since 2019, Marc Marquez stands atop the world with a seventh MotoGP World Championship – the longest wait a rider has ever had between premier class crowns.

Mir, after coming close on Saturday, completes the podium after his own journey of bad luck and a difficult run, the 2020 Champion delivering the goods for Honda on home turf.

Fourth went to Bezzecchi as he made big progress, just holding off Morbidelli by the flag. Alex Marquez takes P6 after a tougher weekend for MM93’s sole remaining rival on the way in. Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) and Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) completed the top ten.

History made. Back in business. Comeback complete. The greatest feat in sport? We believe so. But there’s even more to come as MotoGP heads for the Indonesian GP in Lombok – see you there!

22 Grands Prix, five continents and the return of Brazil

The 2026 MotoGP calendar is here! With 22 Grands Prix across five continents, the season runs from February to November to create a perfectly-paced year for the millions of fans watching around the world – and the riders battling it out on track. Brazil is back as MotoGP returns to a key market, some established favourites move dates, summer break is the perfect pitstop pause – take a look at 2026!

Don’t miss a lap of MotoGP: SYNC THE 2026 CALENDAR NOW!

2026 AT A GLANCE MotoGP returns to Brazil

Our much-anticipated return to Brazil puts MotoGP in one of the world’s biggest markets and work is already underway in Goiania to make it a true flagship event. The vibrant city of Goiania, capital of Goias, will welcome MotoGP for the second round of 2026 at the end of March before we head north to Austin, TX, and the USA!

From Qatar to Europe

From the night lights of Qatar at Lusail, Jerez welcomes us back to Europe with its incredible passion, and then France rolls out to compete with it as the Marseillaise makes your hair stand on end at Le Mans. Barcelona gives fans chance to make some Mediterranean memories in May, and then it’s the fabulous rolling hills of Tuscany for Mugello and the Italian GP. That’s a callback run of classics for long-time fans!

Austria in September, Hungary and Czechia move up

Meanwhile, some established favourites get a new date next year, including Austria. We head for the fabulous Red Bull Ring in September as the perfect send off before the flyaways, and Brno moves forward to June. The return of the Czech GP was much celebrated in 2025 and next season it will be preceded by our second visit to Balaton Park in Hungary.

Carlos Ezpeleta talks 2026: date changes, summer and a season launch teaser

MotoGP Chief Sporting Officer Carlos Ezpeleta on our return to Brazil, avoiding triple headers and making a calendar focused on fans and riders

Great British summer

Following our date with the Sachsenring in Germany, it’s time to recharge. A three-weekend summer break through mid-July and early August gives the paddock a good pause before the most exciting sport on Earth lands at fast, flowing, sensational Silverstone in the height of the British summer. Then, it’ll be time to enjoy two more weekends off in a schedule planned perfectly for both MotoGP fans and the paddock. From there we get back in gear at MotorLand Aragon on the 28th to the 30th of August for some late summer Spanish sun.

Flyaways!

This part of the season looks familiar – it takes the same shape as 2025. First stop: Motegi, Japan from the 2nd to 4th of October, before we hop straight down to the beautiful island of Lombok for the Grand Prix of Indonesia less than a week later in Mandalika.

A weekend off then allows the paddock to get geared up for the exciting Australia-Malaysia double-header at the end of October. Will the championship showdowns go to the wire or will those rounds be decisive? Our date with the phenomenal Phillip Island precedes our pitstop in the dazzling capital of Kuala Lumpur for the Malaysian GP at Sepang.

European finale

Finally, the Algarve rollercoaster of Portimao and the vibrant amphitheatre of Valencia bring the curtain down on a stunning 2026 season of racing. More history is just around the apex – we call it the most exciting sport on Earth for a reason.

22 Grands Prix. Five continents. Take a tour through 2026!

The 2026 calendar is packed with fan favourites AND welcomes the return of Brazil – here’s what we have to look forward to next year

Now, stay tuned for the next dates to be confirmed: pre-season and the much-anticipated season launch. Bangkok was just the beginning, with a new city set to host our first spectacular of the 2026 season.

The first title chance will arrive in Japan as the #93 and #72 go head-to-head at the San Marino GP

Having held off a heap of constant pressure from Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) in the second half of the Grand Prix, Marc Marquez’s (Ducati Lenovo Team) title-winning comeback is drawing ever closer after the #93 clinched victory on a fascinating Sunday in Misano. It means we head to the Japanese GP knowing Marquez can be crowned MotoGP World Champion if results go his way, and the only rider who can stop that from happening was third place finisher Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP). PRE-RACE DRAMA FOR MARTIN Before a wheel had been turned in anger, there was drama for Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) after his RS-GP encountered an issue on the sighting lap. Because of that, he started the warm up lap from pit lane, would retake his original grid slot and then had to take two Long Lap penalties. BEZZECCHI AND MARC MARQUEZ HIT THE FRONT Once we got going, Bezzecchi held onto P1 at the start and just like in the Tissot Sprint, Marc Marquez got a pearling start and was immediately climbing all over Bezzecchi in P2, while Alex Marquez and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) sat in P3 and P4. There were three early DNFs to report as Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) and Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol) were both down at Turn 4 on Lap 1, with Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) crashing on Lap 3 in Sector 3. Then, Maverick Viñales (Red Bull KTM Tech3) was out of the Grand Prix on Lap 5, as fellow KTM rider Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) started to look threatening in P5. On Lap 6, the top three – Bezzecchi, Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez – were 1.5s clear of Acosta, who picked off Quartararo at Turn 8. However, a couple of laps later, Acosta’s RC16 said no more – the #37 was out after his chain fell off on the way down to Turn 8, the same problem teammate Brad Binder suffered on Friday. Then, another big name was out of contention. This time, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). While running in P7, the Italian crashed at Turn 10 to end a forgettable weekend in Misano.

SMALL BEZ ERROR HANDS MARQUEZ THE LEAD

At the front, Bezzecchi had Marc Marquez for close company, while Alex Marquez sat around a second back in P3 on Lap 10 of 27. Then, a mistake came at Turn 8 for the leader. Bezzecchi was wide and that opened the door for the #93 to stroll on through to hit the front for the first time on Lap 12.

Now then Marco, what did you have in return? On Lap 17, the pair were separated by 0.2s as Bezzecchi clung onto Marc Marquez’s coattails, with Alex Marquez still lapping 1.1s behind. However, on Lap 20, Alex Marquez dropped to two seconds back and it looked like the fight for Sunday’s top honour was between Marc Marquez and Bezzecchi.

Lap 21 saw Marc Marquez set the fastest lap of the race, which saw the gap rise to 0.495s. Was that the warning shot? Was it the hammer blow? It was certainly a statement, but Bezzecchi responded by going slightly faster on the next lap – but it was only by 0.010s. The Italian was digging in, but would it be enough?

At this stage, it wasn’t. Marquez’s advantage rose to 0.6s with four laps to go, but then Bezzecchi threw in the fastest lap of the race. 0.3s in one lap, had Bezzecchi saved his best until the last three laps? But in response, the six-time MotoGP World Champion threw another stinging punch to set the fastest lap and go 0.5s clear.

So then it was last lap time. The gap? 0.415s. The penultimate lap was Bezzecchi’s personal best of the Grand Prix, but it didn’t look like it would be quite enough. And unfortunately for the Italian, it wasn’t. A tantalisingly tense affair saw Marc Marquez hold on to put his Sprint crash behind him and collect 25 points ahead of Bezzecchi, who did brilliantly to pile on the pressure for the second half of the Grand Prix. The top two were in a league of their own on Sunday, with Alex Marquez handing Gresini a special home turf podium 7.7s behind the top two.

YOUR MISANO POINTS SCORERS

Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) beat teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio as the VR46 duo finish P4 and P5, as rookie Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) leaves Misano with a solid P6. Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) continued his fine form to finish P7 on home soil, the Italian crossing the line ahead of Quartararo, Miguel Oliveira (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) and Binder, the South African completing the top 10.

Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) was P11, Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) earned P12 ahead of Martin in P13, Augusto Fernandez (Yamaha Factory Racing Team) on the V4-Powered YZR-M1 in P14 and Thailand’s Somkiat Chantra (IDEMITSU Honda LCR) in P15.

NEXT STOP: JAPAN

It’s confirmed. At Motegi, Marc Marquez will have his first match point as the great comeback loads. Will the #93 be crowned World Champion next time out in Japan? It won’t be long until we find out.

The #73 banishes his Sprint demons to hold off the #93 for a stunning home turf win as Bastianini completes the Catalan GP rostrum

Heartache on Saturday, elation on Sunday. Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) banished his Barcelona Sprint demons to fend off the challenge of Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) to earn a phenomenal 25-point haul on home turf, as the #93’s unbeaten run ends at the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Catalonia. It’s still a hard-earned P2 for the championship leader, but it’s a result that means the title race rolls on to at least the Japanese GP. Behind the jostling brothers, P3 went to Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3) as the Italian secures his debut Sunday podium with KTM.

THE START: MARC GRABS EARLY LEAD

Despite a decent enough launch from pole position, Marc won the Marquez battle into Turn 1 to earn an early lead from P3 on the grid, as Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) got another lightning launch from the middle of the second row to grab P3. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) was P4, with Bastianini P5 as two Italians then fell out of contention at Turn 1 on Lap 2.

Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing), up the inside of Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), made small contact with his VR46 Academy stablemate and ultimately lost control and slid out. Trying to avoid Bezzecchi, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) then locked the front end of his GP25, and that caused the #49 to crash moments after too. Both riders were OK, but it was podium hopes over for the duo.

ALEX HITS THE FRONT

At the front, a change for the lead on Lap 4. Alex Marquez made a classic Turn 1 move stick on the #93, and now, Marc Marquez had Acosta and Bastianini looking to attack. At this stage, Quartararo was busy defending P5 from Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) and compatriot Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR), the trio were a second behind the top four on Lap 6 of 24.

On Lap 7, Brad Binder’s (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) weekend ended at Turn 7 as the South African crashed from P10, one place behind a fast-starting Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). From P22 on the grid, Pecco was up to P9 and just over three seconds away from the lead, and a lap later, the double MotoGP World Champion was past Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) and lapping in P8 – a great recovery ride so far.

ENEA MOVES PAST ACOSTA

By the time we’d clicked onto Lap 10, the top four were 2.1s up the road from the fight for fifth, which was now being led by Zarco. And the rider ahead of the HRC star was now Acosta, because Bastianini made a move on his KTM buddy to climb into P3. The gap to Marc Marquez was 0.8s, so what did ‘The Beast’ have up his sleeve in the victory chase?

Zarco’s great outing then came to a premature end at the tricky Turn 10 on Lap 11, so that now meant Marini was promoted into the top five, 3.4s away from Acosta’s rear Michelin soft tyre. At the front, Alex Marquez continued to lead by 0.5s, but it was Bastianini who was the fastest rider on circuit now – the Italian had a couple of tenths in his back pocket at this stage of the Grand Prix.

On Lap 14, Acosta lost the best part of a second to the top three and now sat well over a second behind the podium fight. Was that soft rear tyre starting to cry no more? It appeared so. Acosta quickly dropped to three seconds adrift as Alex Marquez, Marc Marquez and Bastianini continued to race in the 1:40 bracket.

MARQUEZ VS MARQUEZ FOR VICTORY

With one KTM now out of victory contention, was another beginning to fade? Bastianini was now struggling to keep tabs on the Marquez brothers as the top two dropped into the low 1:40s. On Lap 19 of 24, it looked like we were strapping ourselves in for an Alex vs Marc battle for Barcelona honours.

Fair play to both. They were a second faster than anyone else on track with five laps to go and on Lap 20 of 24, a couple of small mistakes came the way of Marc Marquez to hand Alex Marquez a 0.8s advantage. That was down to 0.7s a lap later, but with three to go, Alex Marquez was controlling things very well.

Two to go. The gap? Just above a second. How’re your nerves, Alex? One more lap, and the gap had risen further to 1.3s. Surely this was redemption done after his Sprint crash? Half a lap down and no mistakes were made. Turn 10, yesterday’s nightmare spot? Done. And around the final few corners, Alex Marquez took the chequered flag 1.7s clear of Marc Marquez to win for the second time in MotoGP – and at a special venue too. Marc Marquez’s unreal victory run does come to an end, but #93 will be chuffed enough to earn P2 in front of his home fans and bring home a 1-2 for the Marquez’. Bastianini’s efforts were rewarded with his first Sunday podium for KTM, a top ride from ‘The Beast’.

YOUR POINTS SCORERS IN BARCELONA

Acosta faded big style in the second half of the Grand Prix but the #37 held onto P4, as Quartararo won the fight for P5. Ogura enjoyed a superb last couple of laps to climb into P6, that’s the rookie’s first top six result since Thailand. Bagnaia’s comeback ended with a P7 and although that’s not the result the #63 wants on paper, from where he started, that’s a very respectable ride.

Marini’s performance was also noteworthy. P8 doesn’t tell the full tale as HRC continue to prove they’re well on their way back, as Miguel Oliveira (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) hands Yamaha a double top 10 following the Portuguese rider’s P9 result. P10 went to reigning World Champion Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing), while Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol), Maverick Viñales (Red Bull KTM Tech3), Jack Miller (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP), and Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) picked up at least a point in Barcelona.

MISANO, YOU’RE UP

Well, Marc Marquez now mathematically can’t clinch the title next week in Misano, so it’ll be full focus on who can clinch victory at another classic venue on our globetrotting tour.

The #93 delivers another double as KTM and Aprilia taste podium success in Hungary, while Martin earns season-best result in P4.

Inevitable. He was made to work for it in the opening half of the Grand Prix, but in the end, Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) strolled to a seventh consecutive victory to continue his majestic 2025 unbeaten run at the Michelin Grand Prix of Hungary. 4.3s was the #93’s winning margin over second place Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), as early Grand Prix leader Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) collected P3 behind the Ducati and KTM stars.

DIGGIA STARTS FROM PITLANE, CONTACT BETWEEN BEZ AND MARC

Before we had lights out, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) was forced to start from pitlane after the Italian suffered a technical issue, meaning P3 on the grid and the Tissot Sprint silver medallist was out of victory contention.

There was drama aplenty on the opening lap too as Marc Marquez and Bezzecchi made contact at Turn 2 after the title race leader ran wide at Turn 1. It was the Italian that led from compatriot Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), with Marquez slotting into P3. Then, Enea Bastianini (Red Bull KTM Tech3) slid out at Turn 12 from P4, before Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) crashed on the opening lap too. The #73 remounted but he was P19 and eight seconds away from Alex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP).

MARC VS BEZ LIGHTS UP BALATON

The Grand Prix then settled. Bezzecchi led Morbidelli by 0.8s at the end of Lap 3, with Marquez 0.2s behind the VR46 Ducati. Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) made a good start, the #37 was in P4 and 0.8s away from the rear wheel of Marquez.

Two more riders then crashed in the early stages as both Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) and Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol) hit the deck at Turn 5 in separate incidents, as Bezzecchi stretched his legs at the front. But Marquez, at Turn 9, carved his way through on Morbidelli to climb into P2, with the gap at 0.7s at the end of Lap 5.

With open Hungarian asphalt ahead of him, Marquez was able to set consecutive fastest laps of the Grand Prix to reel in Bezzecchi. 1.5s in arrears, Acosta forced his way past Morbidelli to climb into P3 and then Marquez hit the engage battle button at Turn 1 on Lap 8.

That didn’t work though, and neither did a similar attempt at Turn 5. Marquez was eager to get ahead of the Italian here but there was no way through for now. On Lap 11, Marquez pounced again at Turn 1 and this time around, it was a pass that stuck. Now then Marco, what was your response? At this stage, not a lot because Marquez set a 1:38.343, Bezzecchi was in the 1:39s, and the lead grew to 1.1s.

MARC’S LEAD GROWS AS ACOSTA POUNCES

That soon became 1.4s and the more pressing matter for Bezzecchi was Acosta. Meanwhile, Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) crashed at Turn 1 while he was putting Morbidelli under pressure in P5, which promoted Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) into fifth.

A change for P2 arrived on Lap 16, and it was a move that started three corners earlier when Bezzecchi ran slightly wide at Turn 15. That cost him the drive all the way up the start/finish straight and Acosta, strong on the anchors, picked up the P2 baton. The gap to Marquez? 2.7s.

And that’s a gap that wouldn’t shrink with Marquez controlling the situation at the front. A 1:37.843, compared to Acosta’s 1:38.258, was the knockout blow and with Acosta 2.2s clear of Bezzecchi, it looked like the podium scraps were done with. However, Martin wasn’t done. The #1 demoted Morbidelli to P5 and now, the 2024 King of MotoGP sat 2.6s behind his teammate Bezzecchi.

In the end, Marquez was simply untouchable at Balaton. The 22nd different track the #93 has claimed victory at, and one that sees his dominant march towards a seventh MotoGP title continue. Seven consecutive double wins, a 175-point lead and another pretty much perfect weekend. Fair play.

Acosta will rue a tricky qualifying but P2 is his second podium in the last three races, and Bezzecchi’s classy run of form continues – that’s four podiums in the last five Grands Prix, and the Italian is hunting Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) for P3 in the standings.

YOUR POINTS SCORERS IN HUNGARY

Chapeau to Martin in P4. That’s the reigning Champion’s best Aprilia result and he did it from P16 on the grid too. What a boost that is for Martin and his side of the box, and the same can be said for Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) as the Italian gets the better of Morbidelli – who had to drop one position for cutting the chicane at Turn 9 – in the closing stages to hand himself and HRC a double top five at Balaton.

Morbidelli was P6, with Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Tech3) handing KTM a triple top seven. The latter enjoyed a good fight with Bagnaia and following a mistake on the last lap, the #63 lost a position to the #44 to collect P9 in Hungary.

Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) rounded out the top 10 after the Frenchman had to take a Long Lap penalty for his Tissot Sprint mistake. 11th went to Ai Ogura (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), 12th was Miguel Oliveira (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP), while Rins, Alex Marquez and Di Giannantonio completed the points on a Sunday to forget for the latter duo.

The run continues. MM93 has one hand and four fingers on the trophy and next up, a return to familiar and home territory. What does Barcelona have in store? We’ll find out in less than two weeks.

This incredible number is more than just a statistic: it is proof of the enormous interest in MotoGP’s return to Hungary, and of how much the local fans longed to once again experience the world’s greatest motorcycle races.

This weekend at the Balaton Park Circuit became reality thanks to years of hard work, organized by HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency as the event promoter. We are filled with pride that we could share the return of MotoGP with the fans, and that we were able to provide an unforgettable experience for so many supporters.

A fantastic weekend is now behind us: we celebrated together, rejoiced together, and made history together in Hungarian motorsport. We are already excitedly looking forward to what’s next – see you again at the Balaton Park Circuit in 2026!
